Concrete Tears

Concrete Tears

A Poem by ♥ Ari Skye ♥
"

Sometimes, it just feels like they are...

"

Here they go again,

falling from my eyes.

Hurting my soul,

destroying my pride.

Reminding me at once of everything I lost.

I wish I could feel that there was no cost.

Pick up the pieces,

forget about the pain,

but it's not as easy as they say.

Go ahead and ask me why.

Because, you see,

I cry tears that tear apart your eyes.

Reminding me at once of everything I lost.

This got me thinking about how when we cry it is often for a different reason than we thought. Tears tell more than one story. Loved this poem. Great job.

I love it. I don't know much about poetry but I found this lovely and a little haunting--a perfect combination
