Outside My Window

Outside My Window

A Poem by Angelica

The raindrops kissed the earth

and whispered,

"today you shall refresh the earth

and tomorrow shall be a new day."

The wind howls through the trees

and she feels a bit of fear

New worlds and new opportunities

stand at her doorstep

but the rain has kept her indoors

This is a chance for renewal

to find out who she is

The rain shall wash the past away

to allow for new challenges

and soon she shall find a new adventure

Starting anew, what a beautiful way of writing about it. I love the rain, and how it washes away the old so that we can start fresh when the sun shines again. The opening line introduces us to your journey. Wonderful!

Angela, I loved this is very well written and the form is presented with depth
and thought, the meaning has a way of touching the reader in ways that awakens
the senses with imagery and a sense of natural wonder and appreciation for
the things most people take for grantite, has transpiring effect in the way your
words reveal the heart of the author. beautifully written.

Even though the storms keep us in our comfort zone, and the unknown voices in the wind can frighten us, we still must take advantage of the changes they represent in our lives.
Fresh starts are not always easy. I am reminded of a great author who once said:
When people travel to new and unknown places, their baggage is often a collection of their fears as well as their expectations.
These are the things I got from this poem.
Nice!
