The transformation

This is based on a disease I read about known as schizophrenia. Hope you like it.

Whispers
I cannot even hear myself think,
The voices have become louder.

Mirror
I stare at my reflection,
But I do not look the same.

Thoughts
My mind flashes twisted, ominous images,
It scares me how vivid and real they feel.

Losing
I no longer have power over myself,
The demons forcefully engulf me.

Surrender
Every ounce of hope is gone,
I slowly give in to the darkness.

Gone
I am no longer that girl I used to be,
I am a monster.

I use this style because it is effective and packs more punch. Each section with its own stanzas allows a hodgepodge of emotions to be explored..you did well.
