The poem below is included in the collection: From the Soul of a 24 Year Old. It is featured in Part 2: Soul Loving. I wrote this poem because I witnessed too many women giving up their power to please a man. Putting thier needs aside to make sure "he is

"

Let Go
For women holding on to something they need to let go

I know that you are strong,
But at times very weak.
And fall into the trap,
Men set at your feet.
But when you get tired of falling,
You would let go.

I feel that your are powerful,
But you give away too much.
And allow the hurt to be mislead,
With his masculine touch.
But when you get tired of hurting,
You would let go.

I see that you are beautiful,
But you forget your own worth.
And allow his words,
To make you feel as dirty as dirt.
But when your get tired of crying,
You would let go.

I know that you are smart,
At times your actions can be so dumb.
To give and give love, time, and commitment,
And never receive none.
But when you get tired of being lonely,
You would let go.

I see that you’re tired and scared,
And that you feel all alone.
Your soul is bruised and hurting,
Your house no longer feels like a home.

I know this is your life,
You may think I don’t know how you feel.
I don’t have to know it all,
Just the things I see that are real.

Don’t think I don’t understand,
I’ll only tell you the truth.
That boy you call a man,
Ain’t no good for you.

And when you get tired,
I believe,
You would let go.
