NewportA Poem by AreWeBothCrazyThis is an old one I unearthed, it's about smoking my first cigarette when I was 15
I stood nervously next to you
Drowned in your scent In the freezing November air Behind work You light one up And joke about me But I don't understand sarcasm Affirmation, Confirmation My fingers tremble at the exchange You ignite it for me "Inhale," you say I cough, I sputter I smile in pleasure "It comes easier with time." One hour later It's time for another. The coughing dies down Sensation, perception My weakness, my weapon I was dying to try Now I'm dying for trying © 2010 AreWeBothCrazyReviews
