UntitledA Poem by Arcus
During a summer moon of sublime luminescence
He'll discover an embodiment of resplendent allure Dancing alone in the misty morning air That boy has much to learn, yet He isn't ready for the autumn sunset When his dreams will fall and crumble with the spectrum of dead leaves To be trodden upon by the abashing mockery of empty empathy In reoccurring, fleeting moments of desperation He'll try to hold on to a false sentiment of affection As if an illusion of a cherished promise is just out of reach Dissipating just as he finally grasps it This endless pursuit will leave him exhausted And yet, some unknown influence will keep him running He won't know why he continually endures the lamentable sorrow Perhaps he will be irreparably damaged By future past years reflected on a weathered visage Distorted behind fragmented memories of a new life Or maybe, after all of the tormenting isolation Once the red-hot agony coursing through his heart subsides at long last He will happen upon a glorious jade blossom in the spring sunlight Upon which he will find a resolute eternity of reverence and devotion © 2015 Arcus |
