The Song of the Sea

The Song of the Sea

A Poem by Arcus

A solemn wind caressed her cheek,
As softly glowing promises were whispered gently,
Culminating into a moment of bittersweet reprise,
Followed by a sudden rush of euphoric bliss

Her heart, in its joy, was ablaze with passion,
Resembling fireflies upon an amber sunset in early Autumn
Yet, this artful display of felicity was soon overshadowed by grief,
Mercilessly extinguishing the flames that once burned ever so brightly

Here, by the cold and tameless sea, is where she once stood,
Dreaming, longing, for that which is written of in children's storybooks;
A kiss, a love, a happily ever after, to keep for all time
But now... Now she lays at the bottom of this endless ocean,
A treasure lost forever, never to be discovered or cherished

She once shone so brilliantly...

People hurt so much and they keep it buried deep within their souls.Just because you are smiling does not mean that you are happy.Well portrayed your images are most vivid:)
