A simple remark led to a wondrous blessing,

In which happily ever afters were permitted to blossom and flourish

A vain proposal led to a horrendous tragedy,

In which poisoned fruit ended a love so miraculous

A defiant grievance led to a narrow escape

In which a forbidden indulgence was shared in silence

An impossible chance led to an unforeseen acquisition

In which misfortune was cast away, and lovers’ hearts won the day
