What Is Love, You Ask?

What Is Love, You Ask?

A Poem by Arcus

Love is a cool winter's breeze

That scoops up the fresh snow

And sprinkles it back down to the ground

To be picked up and set down again

Love is the pallid moonlight

That shines upon the surface of the water

Or that shines in your eyes gently

And makes the angels in Heaven jealous

Love is the raging fire of a blacksmith's hearth

That burns red hot with fury

It is also the hammer

That strikes and forges furiously

For is love not also ferocious?

Love is the grave

That calls to you lovingly

Beckoning to you for your embrace

As you start at a new beginning

For you feel a familiar breeze kiss you tenderly...

"Love is the grave that calls you lovingly"...
This is the deepest description of love i have come across. Well written. I love it :)

Thank you. I thought it fitting. The metaphor comes across more naturally in that sense, I find. :)
