Yearning

Yearning

A Poem by Arcus

I remember the nights we spent alone
With no fears or doubts
That our love was forever
We sang and we danced together
All of our dreams were manifest
Nothing stood in our way

Now I look to the stars
Without you by my side
Wondering which one will guide me to you
I will keep searching the sky
Until I find the right one
I'll search forever

You are worth all that I can give
My heart beats only for you
I haven't given up on you
Even if you've given up on me

I've said I'm sorry a thousand times
And I've meant every word
The distance between us is too far
I want to turn back the clock
And relive those cherished moments with you
So that I can see the endless ocean in your eyes
And share one last kiss before the tides pull me under
