Virtue

Virtue

A Poem by Arcus

Somewhere beyond this world

Lies a void of untainted wisdom

It is there that my desires come to fruition

In my realm of wondrous purity

Someplace far and long forgotten

Beyond the domain of man

That is where you will find me

Lost with the sands of a thousand lifetimes

I've no wish to remain in your plane of existence

The path I walk is mine alone (I hear a calling)

Now I move toward the trees (they beckon me)

What lies beyond them is my eternal destiny

With my head up high and arms to the sky

I surrender myself to the echoes of the ages

A sigh of joy is issued forth from my lungs

To become a breeze to remind you of me

Listen and hear my name on the wind
