Afterglow

Afterglow

A Poem by Archishman Rick

As I follow your etheric trail,
Your essence I distinctly feel,
My heart and mind did not derail,
From the track which has kept you real.

Within this journey your love remains,
Through the seasons allowing to heal,
From the scars of lasting injury,
That roads filled with your longing left me.

Your shine that spanned beyond and between,
Fostered the finest spirit in me,
Which I kindled in forests unseen,
With you in sight, past where eyes can see.

I learnt that the truest attraction,
Lights the way for wholesome ascension,
So as I grow with your afterglow,
I honourably let you go.

It is a pain filled and poignant write, but sometimes that type of beauty has to fly and we are left behind, sad still for it being free to fly, but always grateful for knowing it.
Beautifully penned.

Wonderfully penned in form and subject. It flows and is of itself perfect. A lovely memoir written with love.

Beautiful poetic expression here. A real appreciation of having known this person, loved still, but released. Afterglow is such an uplifting title. So much better to move on with kindness rather than hurt. Lovely work.
