Ode to the Fallen Angels

Ode to the Fallen Angels

A Poem by Archishman Rick

Over mountain tops where frozen wings fly,
Is where echoed a forgotten cry,
Of worn out angels before they fell,
After having known it all too well.

Through every wrathful tempest and hail,
Had they promised to fly and prevail,
The dazzling glitter their wings would show,
Yet concealed stains of etheric woe.

Beyond heaven's immaculate order,
They wished to soar with anarchic splendour,
But too many an invisible wall,
Would they hit and eventually fall.

From brightest skies of enlightened reason,
To darkest abyss of brutal lesson,
Throughout the ventures in their short-lived flight,
They stayed true to a miraculous fight.
