Race to Solace

Race to Solace

A Poem by Archishman Rick

Dense burdens hope to fade,
Away from a heavy heart,
With a breaking beat's aid,
It wants to kick a new start.

Memories long to fade,
Away from a melting mind,
In cool clarity's shade,
A poise it wishes to find.

Peace that managed to find its way,
Through dense thickness still tries to stay,
With an inherent suffering,
Found between feeling and thinking.

Discipline that holds you in place,
And sacrifice that sets you free,
Your earthly weaponry for the race,
There to find solace by count three.
