The Distant HillsA Poem by Archishman Rick
As I stare at the distant hills,
Their frozen caps send waves of chills, But as they glitter in line, I perceive a warm embrace, Under the same sunlit shine, That once brightened up my days. As I gaze at the distant hills, Cold winds blow with uncanny shrills, But with a thunderous cry, A wondrous flash tops the heights, Under the same mystic sky, That once enchanted my nights. With every view that they show, Plenty of tales do they know, To search in each reverie, I keep coming back to see. © 2022 Archishman RickReviews
