For the Vow

For the Vow

A Poem by Archishman Rick

As dejection shakes the heart,
And disorder quakes the mind,
They distract your swaying soul,
From the wisdoms left to find.

As you travel the way up and down
Between the stress and strain,
You project your smile atop the frown
To live on through the pain.

You foresee the dismal places
Where you fight through further fears,
Like you pull through your own stages
As they soak your passive tears.

With your feet on nature's hands,
Wistful roads will not be vain,
As ahead lie desert lands,
Where you vowed to usher rain.

Good job on rhyme & rhythm, supporting a solid thought-provoking message. Your poem seems to be about our journey of having faith . . . the way God puts many tough things in our paths, but we go onward & keep searching for the lessons He wants us to find among the boulders. Despite this painting a tough path, there's an undertone of encouragement, like the narrator (God) hopes to instill confidence in whatever the journey of life brings (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
