Gone with the Glitter

Gone with the Glitter

A Poem by Archishman Rick

They left the lights on out in the sky,
The drops of rain will shine through tonight.
Dry in my lonely mind,
I look to welcome the sight,
Enchanting from woods and seas,
Hills and boulevards alike,
All the places you had been,
Before you faded from sight.

Memory serves me keen,
You put your will in me,
When passion burned in your eyes
Just like the sun in the sky.
You wished to sparkle the ocean,
And shine the heart of the land,
A paragon of your notion,
To gently hold every hand.

Hope in a happier ending,
I am what you were like,
Where we keep our promises,
And live fulfilling life.
I think and stare at the night,
The droplets sparkling so bright,
Like you their glitter is pure,
Which gives me hope to be sure,
That when the moment is right,
Your will come back in my sight.
