Late Light

Late Light

A Poem by Archishman Rick

You bloom like a flower In the dead of night,
But the nocturnal sky,
Still looks a bit too bright.
The night gave away
So you receive the light.
Nature seems so wrong,
Would it turn out to be right.

So it began wit  h conviction so high,
The moon united with the sun
To set alight the sky.
Journey for truth has begun,
Believe and know it is right.
Nature's insured efforts
Are going to help in the fight.

And no friend or foe is near,
You walk the lonesome path
For every life so dear,
The horizon peeking from the end of the path,
is where unprecedented destiny is laid out flat.

You could not be felled by the traps of fate,
The horizon calls to paint your unique shade,
Now cast your sights toward the lighted grey,
Scented with the memories made on the way.
Is this a dream or is this indeed real?
Must be neither, it is just too surreal.

Pain and losses do not matter at all,
As the venture beckons to requite each fall.
Now that the time for eclipse is nigh,
Thank the gracious glow before it fades in the sky.

You walk with no fear of death,
Live a life anew with each and every step.
For you have no fear of death,
You keep treading the way
To let the promise be kept.
In tandem with life and death,
Into the darkness you go,
Rest and salvation to get.
