Chapter Eight/Nine *Untitled*

Woot woot, another chapter yep its pretty short, still hopefully enjoyable

The whispers had started in the morning. They where what woke me up at six a.m, a time I’m never awake. For a second I had thought someone was in my room, and almost screamed bloody murder, but soon I realized they were coming from someplace else, but I couldn’t figure out where. I lay in my bed, for the rest of the night, my eyes wide open, as I heard my people moan for close to the billionth time.

I groaned aloud as it approached seven, long since giving up on my attempts to go back to sleep. No matter what I did the voices prevailed, seeping through my pillow, my earmuffs, and even Mozart on maximum volume through my headphones. There was nothing in my arsenal that worked.

When Volt arrived at my house to pick me up, she was surprised to see a dead looking, ready to go, me in the kitchen eating cereal.

“God, what happened to you?” She said with a surprised expression, “You look like you got hit by a bus, where you studying all night?”

“Nooooo,” I moaned, “My neighbors were talking. All. Night. Long. I could hear there moaning even.”

“Oh god, tmi dude, really didn’t need that last bit.”

“I’m dying,” I said fake crying into her shoulder.

“There, there,” Volt said patting my back gently, “Want my coffee? My dad stopped by Starbucks on the way over.”

“Yes please.”

She began to hand it to me then took it back.

“It’s black,” She warned.

“I don’t care, just give me caffeine,” I said snatching the cup from her hands.

I took a tentative sip of the liquid and shivered, dreading the fact that Volt loved her coffee sugarless and creamless, the purest black that can be.

“So bitter,” I said gagging slightly.

“I warned ya.”

I nodded and took another sip, draining the cup as quickly as possible and throwing it into the trash.

“Okay, lets go, I’m ready for my two o clock crash.” I said grabbing my things and heading out the door.

Volt laughed, light and cheery, “Oh this is going to great.”

lol yeah im not one for insanely long chapters my dad says i could merge some of them...a few of the later chapters are longer

NICE :) Seriously I love the relationship between Volt and Dare I think it's really great. But, just to clarify, can he hear his next door neighbors cause of his powers or is it cause they're just... I don't know, being loud? Anyway more please! :)
