My Longing

A poem I wrote in a sad corner time

My heart

So full of despair and longing

How I wish I could feel your love

How I crave for your pride

But it does not exist

They are just empty words

Words that end in "But"

Words that end with shame and disappointment

Words that leave me alone in a corner

Only able to cry

And cry

And cry

And cry

But in the end I must let it go

All of my despair

And Anger

And hurt 

I must let it disappear

Push it all away

And stuff it in my back pocket

Then take a deep breath

Take another step forward

And keep on moving 

Constantly walking

Forever moving forward

Enduring it all

Moving on until the day I can be free

Though I've never felt like this before, I find it really haunting in a very sorrowful way. I actually read through it multiple times, each time feelings of sympathy arising, curiosity close behind. The emotion is very strong~
I love the sense of hope at the end, a light in all the turmoil and shadows. Very nice~
