Eyes OF Hope...

Who says Paradise is Lost?
        Who says inner beauty is gone?
Who says love is just lust?
         Who says truth and faith does not exist?
Who says life is just a joke?
 
Nothing is lost,
                      Nothing is gone,
as long as you have got Eyes Of Hope!!!

Look around you'll see sparkling rivers and sleepy lakes,
beautiful gardens and arrogant trees,
flowering meadows and snow capped peaks.
Will you still say Paradise is lost??

Look around for you'll see parents burning themselves to brighten their children's life,
Will you still say love is just lust?

Look around for you'll see soldiers sacrificing their life for the nation's sake,
Will you still say life is just a joke?

You may think whatever you want,
        but the truth is,
                              Nothing is lost,
                                     Nothing is gone,
As long as you have got eyes of hope!!!

Beautiful , beautiful poem. Totally loved it and I can find nothing to complain or criticize. Lyrical flow of words , you don't even realize when the poem ends. One of my favorite poems on the topic of HOPE ,definitely. Well, without doubt the best lines are (or rather my favorite ones are) :

this piece gave me chills, you are so right that there is so much love and beauty in this world that most don't see, i feel that way very often, and i really like how you pointed these things out, and with such poeticism, sleepy lakes, arrogant trees! you give live to a nature most see as just inanimate objects, i admire that you are so intune with nature and how you notice and respect the sacrifices of others...great poem. my favourite of yours so far.
