Money Is The Root Of All Evil? (By the way it’s actually a school assignment.)

 

Money is the tool or instrument we use for buying or selling things. To earn money, some run their own business, while others work as employees. It is said that money is the root of all evil because a lot of crimes are involved with money. However, I strongly disagree that money is actually the root of all evil and I will give some convincing evidence to prove the statement wrong.

I feel upset for the people who consider money as the root of all evil. These pitiful pessimists who are dim-witted do not know what money is truly capable of. In the 21^st century, money is of great use. Families or individuals who are wealthy could use their money to help to improve the development of the society. They could donate part of their fortune to help the poor, they could give out scholarships to outstanding students to further their studies and they could even help to build temples or churches for the locals. Money, if being used correctly, could actually benefit a lot of unfortunate people in our society.

It is said that everything in this world created by God has its pros and cons, while money makes no exception. Frankly speaking, money is causing countless crimes to occur. Criminals kill and steal to gain ill-gotten fortunes from their victims so that they can do whatever they desire with the substantial amount of money. Nevertheless, money is not the reason for all crimes as many criminal acts are involved in vengeance, hatred, jealousy, lust and so on. Obviously, these crimes has got nothing to do with money at all, so we can say that money is the root of some evil, but absolutely not all evil.

Moreover, money is the greatest motivation for people to work hard. The greed for money keeps businessmen, entrepreneurs and even the government moving all the time. For instance, the Sony Company of the United States is inventing and producing new electronic devices and machines everyday in order to earn money. Besides making money, they are actually granting us human a better, more comfortable and much luxurious life simultaneously. Men are like vehicles and the greed for earning money is like a powerful engine with high horsepower. So, without money, there will be no motivation for people to work and the development of the world will slow down. And if the development of the world slows down, terrible consequences and repercussions will most likely affect the entire human race.

Once again, I would like to state the fact that the allegation ‘money is the root of all evil’ is utterly wrong because money is undoubtedly bringing more benefits than shortcomings to the people all around the globe.

I don't know. Money is like guns. Takes man to screw things up. Many rich and successful men help the poor people and the schools. We hear about the greedy and crooks only. Like all things we must use logic and common sense. A excellent story. Made me think.
