A Poem by Emma Raether
"

A poem about the frustration of not really knowing what life is about and how corrupt humanity is, about being unsure of how to help those who are lost.

"

Dancing when no one’s around
Surrounded in a sea of people
Trying not to make a sound
Silence…it feels so good…

Crying and laughing
Living out the sick script life gives us
We’re forced to say our lines
Even if it kills off everyone else

Can there be fire and ice
United
Without destroying the other?
Is it possible to live in a world
Where brothers stand
United
Without destroying the other?

Seeing the bumps in the road
But I can’t figure out its secret code
To smooth the path
To keep the lost from falling…

Dancing when no one’s around
Surrounded in a sea of people
Trying not to make a sound
Silence…it feels so good…
