The World Angels See

The World Angels See

A Poem by Emma Raether
"

Another old poem of mine, very whimsical. It was heavily inspired by Allison Krauss' The World From Way Up Here (a song in the Christmas children's movie Annabelle's Wish). It's a beautiful song :]

"

You can dream a little dream
Or you can shoot for the stars.
It doesn't matter who
Or what you are.

If you decide to reach so high
Your head will be stuck in the clouds
And you'll be walking in the sky

If worst comes to worst
Reality will bring you
Back down to earth
Only if you let the world
And its spiked tongue
Stop your dreaming
It will happen.

Right now
I'm floating in the heavens,
Gliding amongst the stars
Gazing down at
The world angels see.

Those who mocked me
Saying I wouldn't do anything
Worthwhile with my life will now know

I was meant to dream.
I feel so free up here
I will never come down from this place
People call bliss
So I intend to dream forever
Gazing down at the world angels see...
