It’s written somewhere in the castle walls

so glad to see you

softly spoken in the halls

i’m glad to see you but it’s been so long

and cascading from the falls of mighty banks  

noisy shopping malls and battlefields with tanks

in empty buildings with government or prayer

it will have to pass

and swear i’m glad to see you after all this time apart

you’re really here, i won’t return to where we met

but somehow

all this time without you

is too painful to forget
