Cleaning My Blurry Lens

Cleaning My Blurry Lens

A Poem by arcandon

you made a simple wish

was a memory a wish

for all your friends and cake

to take your time and do it proper and keep it simple

not to accept the devils offers

you made a stressful choice that

travelled with you

to sleep and dream of the land of no more headache

love to be a non-issue

and for your family to love and miss you

to do one nice thing every day

not to tear in half so easy

be used up like a tissue

so when it finally happened

you made your darker promise

to grip reality though you couldn't make a fist

to say goodbye to fantasies

sail across that fountain to Ageisha
discover someone new and faithful

and cross those off your list

same as always

you made a simple wish

for all your friends mistakes

to vanish in the bubbling air

'cause they hold on

to a clan of secrets too

and laugh out loud

at the squinty demon sun & neverending blue

outside that window

emptied from your hair

you made the leaf a wish

that you that you could care.
