Whatever your journey or path may be, it is essential that you travel it fearlessly. Have confidence in the pathway that is laid out in front of you. Fear will never add to your experience, nor will it assist you in your path. It will only work to take away. Do not think about the pathways of others. If your mountain has become steep, be thankful that it is, for the reward for reaching the summit will be all the more glorious and fulfilling. Nothing of value is ever given, but always earned. You earn the ability to think by questioning. Your earn the ability to walk by stumbling. You earn the ability to predict by calculating. You earn the ability to play by working. You earn the ability to spend by saving. You earn the ability learn by mistaking. You earn the ability to love by losing. Do not look outwards for guidance, but look within. There, the truth lies, begging, pleading with you to accept it. But it is important that you listen, and in order to listen, you must silence the noise, and you will soon notice that the only true noise that rattles in the world, is the noise that is created from yourself. Therefore, silence yourself if you wish to truly listen. There is none other that is exactly like you, nor will there ever be. Therefore, no one else can truly speak for you. No one else can tell you how to successfully live your life. Why cling to a branch, if you are not falling? Let go of this branch, and explore the world around you. If you find yourself in waters that are too deep, then, search for something stable to cling to. But when those waters recede, venture out once again. Hopefully, you have then learned now how to swim. Your self is like that of a blank canvas, and it is your God-given right to paint this canvas as you wish, for He is the one who has given you the brush. The only incorrect way to paint is with fear in your heart. Life, itself, is like a painting, and likewise, the only wrong way to live, is with fear. With our final breaths, we will have to see, and answer for, what we have painted. Therefore, it is true that what it is you wish to find, you will, because it is you that has painted it upon your canvas. Where you are, at this very moment, is exactly where you have painted yourself to be. Those who are enlightened are not those who have answered all of life's questions. They are not the ones who have found the ultimate way. Because the world is always changing, humanity is experiencing firsts within every generation. Not only this, but you, as an individual, are in a first, for you have never, in your life, been exactly where you are now. You can not go back, so don't rely on what used to work. You can not, as well, jump forward. Rather, to be enlightened, is to master your now. And because you are always changing, and the world is always changing, your now will always be changing. Enlightenment is the mastery of one's own, individual environment. Those who are enlightened are those who have their immediate environment under control and in balance, which includes setting up their future environment for success and balance. We all have bits of enlightenment, but rarely do we piece them together to fit as one whole. You may be enlightened in the area of finance. You may be enlightened in the area of science. You may be enlightened in the area of communication. But it is the enlightening of the necessary areas that it takes to master your now that is true enlightenment. It is a unique combination that you have balanced, that fills all of the gaps that are keeping your environment from being under control. Look for those enlightened areas in each person, and learn from them. The great masters have always been more so students, than teachers. Spend more time trying to learn, rather than trying to teach. Spend more time listening, than speaking. Spend more time following, than leading, for every great leader, was a greater follower of someone. Finally, upon your dying moments, do not think of judgement or of the end. Think only of what it is you have created. Hopefully, in the end, you will be happy with what you have painted.
Good essay. Very profound.
It reminds me of something George Leonard once wrote, Mastery. Great book.
You might want to put it in a more formal format. Paragraphs and such. A huge block of text is a little difficult to read and something like this is worth understanding.
Good work.

You are right, a more formal format could highlight certain areas more, and guide the reader a bit better as well. I will implement these into my writings going forward!
I don't see why anyone would disagree with this. I'm saving it in my ispriational folder. I would try putting it into paragraphs though. Very well done.

I totally agree with you. This piece is written no less by a philosopher. This is profound. This is enlightening. Keep writing. I'm looking forward to reading more of your work.
