Fog

Fog

A Poem by Lydia Thacker

Beyond the fog which so clouds my vision,
I know you wait
-wait for me to walk through the fog
of my own darkness and confusion...

Patience, My Love, patience,
I will find my way back to you.

Each day which passes brings me closer.

I reach upwards
  -to the LIGHT

-the light which guides my steps
through this valley of despair
which has descended upon me.

Hope, my love, hope,
both for me and with me,
that I may ascend.

-transcend the bitterness
which eats at my core,
bitterness which is in me
but not of me.

You walk with me;
though I can't see you
I know you are there.

Soon, Dearest, soon
my tears will wash away
the infection
which so blinds me.

You are the sun
which lights my way.

-Don't leave me
    -don't leave me
