Twists and Turns

Twists and Turns

A Poem by Lydia Thacker

Alone, I rise to greet the day
With just my dog beside me.
I'm fated not to find my way -
There are no signs to guide me.

I care for her; she cares for me.
Beyond that point, we wander,
Each merely living day-to-day,
With only twists and turns behind her.
