Fiat Lux

Fiat Lux

A Poem by Lydia Thacker

Despondency muddies and slows my actions,
Causes my thoughts to become stagnant,
As though I've begun swimming in concrete.

Questing blindly, I fight to find a path
Through the dense fog which keeps me from taking
The road I know I am meant to tread.

I seek a light,
But find myself engulfed in darkness.

Let light become!
  Let light become!
    Let light become!
