Truest of Friends

Truest of Friends

A Poem by Lydia Thacker
"

A poem to one of my dearest friends after a night of drinking. She sings in every key at once, vomits when she drinks, and drives me beyond crazy, but oh, how I love her :)

"
Though you may vomit and sit on the floor,
I do hope you realize that I'll open the door.
What a friend I would be if I held not your hair
(And not my gag reflex) to show that I care?

We raise glass together and do crazy things,
like sing karaoke (though it hurts when you sings).
Tonight, we shall dance and laugh till we're blue
Because, darling dearest, that's just what we do!
