Unattainable (A Cento)

Okay, I don't know what I think about this poetic form. It feels a bit like cheating to me... But, I'm trying it anyways. List of works borrowed from found in the author's note.

My steeds are all pawing at the threshold of the morn

And I have miles to go before I sleep,

Over the Mountains

Of the Moon,

Down the Valley of the Shadow,

There�"Paradise�"is found!

But it is a dream within a dream.

I like writing structured poems because, well, frankly, any free verse poems I do come off as pure chaos, but I try to write all of them in different structures. I came across this idea and I wasn't sure because it really doesn't quite feel right to take lines from other people's poems and use them to form a new idea, but I really liked the way it turned out :)
