PhoenixA Poem by ArabellaMortimerHendrywhat it saysEvery day we start a new page. Vowing we wont make the same mistakes as yesterday. Promising we wont be the bird in the cage. Tears run down from our masked eyes, your standing alone, making the most of your pride. This life is eating you up from inside. Crushing your vital air without any care. How do I expect myself to carry on when the one song I know keeps changing in all the notes. The challenges in life are sending me into an emotional stroke. Sometimes I think everything is a hoax. Like a phoenix inside I always die to survive. Rising from the flames ignoring the burns and not looking back. Its hard to breathe without thinking of all those memories. Blacked out windows and blacked out heart, Is there anything left of you to show everyone that once our love was true. There is a part that destructs but that does not mean that you can not trust.
