Giving nothingA Poem by ArabellaMortimerHendryabout overcoming challenges in life.Standing alone and something catches you off guard. an image of a spirit you never knew. Tugging at your heart, the angels helped them find there way out of the dark. They should call you death-dealer there is no escaping from the true person you are. You can hide the past with smiles and progression. But you cant ignore your heart infection. I tried to keep you safe we hid, at night-time from the world outside. Just you and I, never alone, we were one combined. Like the sun and the sky one of us set, I didn't want to say goodbye. Broken promises looking back at me, in the reflection of my past memories. Its what I deserve this pain to burden me for all of my time on earth. I could of ran and been disowned, you could of lived, but where would we go? I will never see your beautiful face or hold your tiny hands. You had fallen from grace. The closest thing I have to you, Is a faded out picture. That is all I have to last me for the rest of my days. Here on this earth a picture that doesn't even show your face. I do not cry on the surface, when I see other beings like you. Instead a pain hits me much harder, within my heart. A choice that can never go off the chart. It was swept under the carpet like a piece of dust. I cant even talk about it. So I put my barricades up. Its hard to know who to trust. My soul is blackened and my heart is raw. I gave everything and yet I gave nothing.
