slow timeA Poem by ArabellaMortimerHendryabout freindships and choicesTaking note. I should know. You hurt me once. I got to learn to let go. This time is slow. The seconds are counting down till the last show. They took my heart and tore it all apart. They took my soul, but it made my strength grow.
Im too old. For fake gold. Im to young to say that your the one. All those holidays sat in the sun, now its in the office. Lost love and work is won. Thinking over, and spitting things out. I try my best, yet my head is so full of doubt. Sinners sleep. and Victims shout. come away with me. so we can sort things out. Only life can beat us about. So sure of love. your hearts up in the clouds. While your body remains on the ground.
Who is that stranger, im looking at. I used to know them. there ego is fat. polishing up everything , ignoring the cracks. Not knowing im packing my emotions away. I cant go and seem to say, you had me once, you made it this way. Feeling like a corpse inside, I know the rules and times ticking by. Do you care I know you did. But what's happened to the kiss?
