A Frozen Moment

there are times when you feel bliss,beauty and serenity all wrapped into one single moment..nothing extravagant..just an ordinary everyday moment..you close your eyes and experience perfection..

Time stops and the moment stands frozen..

a gentle calm enthralling a tumultuous present..

everything fuses..

as if all were one..

one vivid phenomenon encompassing all of life's myriad hues..

The moment,the serenity seems surreal..

for how can life's agile motion be brought to a standstill !

Yet time's clock has seemingly forgotten to tick..

And this moment seems to linger..

Its mesmerizing and austere..

A beautiful sojourn..

A revelation in life's reverberation..

I close my eyes and its so easy

to get lost in the surreal aura..

To forget the past and the present..

just to be lost in the moment..

But alas! I'm jolted back and the clock is ticking again..

The moment is gone..

So much for ethereal beauty..

joyful,happy and yet so transient..

..a beautiful episode in time's timeless domain..

Delightful use of words, great structure, wonderful thoughts. I like this very much. All we have...is one moment.

I would not modify this if I were you .... this is beautiful just the way it is and I agree with you 100% about what you said ..

OK , one suggestion :

you have used beautiful words all throught out , so in the following line :

But alas! I'm zapped back to time and the clock is ticking again..


the word ZAPPED seems out of place . I would prefer something like JOLTED ..and also , you can skip the words ..to time ..

These were my favorite lines!
I feel the free verse brings out the message clearly...you didn't sacrifice the intended message. We all have these moments when we wish there was a pause and replay button- letting them go sucks and you've made this vivid and easy to relate to. I enjoyed the piece alot Arabda. Great emotion:)
