As I Walk On..

As I Walk On..

A Poem by Arabdha

  Every sound fades to silence...
  life fading into voiceless stupor..
all that remains are the memories of a day spent...
and the silence that resonates within..
the world seems at peace as the darkness takes over..

But that can't put to rest the voice in my head
 that continues to ponder...
where I was,am and would be..
none but the one who made it all knows..
 my purpose i can't discern..

As I wander along the untreaded roads..
the world changes with the ticking seconds..
colors merging into the blankness of canvas..
transience taking over the fixed present..
 and as I move on..
things change as if they never were...
colorful hues bringing into life a new creation..
 as I walk on..

Absolutely love the power and the tenderness of this write Arabdha. The imagery was colorful and crystal clear. Change is not always easy, in fact may times it is excruciatingly difficult...but so very often, change is necessary for the completeness of our souls and our being. I must admit I read this a few times for no other reason then it felt and sounded good flowing from my mouth. I love when poetry makes me feel that way. Very heartfelt and honest. Beautifully written.
thanks for sharing Arabdha

That's a poem with a wonderful sense of imagery. I could 'walk on' along with your words, silently. I love a free-thinker and that's what you prove to be with this poem, a toast to silence is restricted to few. Beautiful indeed.

This is a beautiful poem. I find it a content piece, a thoughtful piece, and a safe piece. The voice is clearly wise in admitting that they cannot tell they're own destiny, but they are content with that. Very well written. :)

strong words are engraved here..
color suits the poem well..
As i walk on..sounds are fading away but the senses are
never ending..
As i walk on in this unusual path of life..
my little steps are vibrating..but i still managed to contol it..
nice poem:)

One of your best poems among what I have read so far , just loved this one , great writing . I have something to say about the title , that is , it sounds a bit odd , I am sure it is a typo and that the title should be :: AS I WALK ON :: instead of ::A I WALK ON:: .

Nicely penned, I can relate myself to this kind of feelings, well, more than relating, I guess I'm already kinda' used to them. Wonderful writing.
