Till truth runs out

Till truth runs out

A Poem by Opeyemi Jide-Ojo

Truth bears one with falsehood,

Reality sharing with illusions

Created by the lost part of me-

And all what I claim to be me

Is merely a collective issue of warped realities.

And I ask: what is all the beginning?

Beginnings mix with endings, and

All I think are merely processes-

The truth is but a shadow; pale shadows

Upon bloodied minds: me.

And I ask: what is all the beginning?

I travel from one point to another,

And I see through the middle of

All that may or may not exist:

The truth may just be a lie,

And I’m my own pawn.

But still the very idea remains,

Sin or perfectness- knowledge doth

Exist in me; I may or may not know;

And I ask: what is all the beginning?
