The Perfect BlossomA Chapter by DravenSitting by the cherry blossoms: it reminds me of the time I took you through the garden and you saw that tree and stared in awe; it was the most beautiful thing you had ever seen before in your life.
We sat there for an hour while you tried to find the "perfect blossom". An hour seems like such a long time to spend on something so unusual, but in truth, I would've waited forever. For you, my daughter, I can wait a lifetime.
Now I sit here alone and I am reminded of it all. The soft breeze is like your soft breath brushing against my face while I held you close and it whispers your name in my ear to make sure I know that I am forever without you.
As a tear falls down my cheek I stand and pluck a flower from the branch. It is the perfect blossom- the one you wanted to find, but will never be able to find. © 2012 DravenAuthor's Note
