She'll Stay

She'll Stay

A Poem by Draven

Asleep, softly breathing in the night
Like snowflakes falling to the ground
As angel kisses brush a child's cheek.
You are the embodiment of beauty,
And I've fallen in love with you
The same way falling stars cut the sky
On their plummet towards the waiting earth
With your waiting arms open to catch me.
When you're sleep I go unharmed,
The walls of your heart are lowered for me
To pass beyond the surface.
I can hold you, the Angel beneath,
If only for just a moment.
Perhaps one day, she'll stay.

Aw, that last line, though! I also enjoyed the falling star line about it cutting through the sky. That is a nice visual and also the poem is so soft and sweet. It's amazing!
