Mother AmericaA Poem by Draven
I used to hate having to stand
and pay respects to the nation, a country corrupt and filled with greed. Why should I stand for such a country? But it isn't the country, rather its leaders at fault for the destruction that lies on the horizon. America weeps for the mistakes of her children and so often we ignore her call. I stand for America, smiling with a tear on my cheek. I stand for her and the soldiers that defend her. I stand for the things she does for me. I stand because she is my home.
