Even Angels Can FallA Poem by DravenWith my tears falling fast I leap down from the bridge and my fears fade away as I descend from the ledge. Crashing down through the air my white feathers fall free. Even angels can die and now the whole world gets to see.
All I see is her face with her warm loving smile while I bask in her glow. But this love is futile. Now I leave it behind as I go to my death. I can feel her soft voice as I take in the last of my breaths.
Oh these feelings I feel, you can't say they're not real. for they burn in my heart and they break me apart. All I want is her lips to be pressed against mine, but I know in my soul our lives never will be entwined.
With my tears falling fast I leap down from the bridge and my fears fade away as I descend from the ledge. Crashing down through the air my white feathers fall free. Even angels can die and now the whole world gets to see. © 2012 DravenReviews
