Where Are You

Where Are You

A Poem by Amethyst Rose

Where are you tonight my love

I long to kiss your lips to feel your breath upon my skin

I wait for you tonight

Hoping you are near

Each breathe I take ends in a sigh

My patience growing thin

I see you in my dreams

Why the veil

Why the secrecy

What is it you fear by drawing near

I long to touch your face

Hear your heart beat

Why is it taking you so long to find me

Time passes so slowly and I begin to fret

You taunt me and tease me and nearly drive me mad

Your voice a whisper in the night as you call me

Where are you now

Just what is it your pondering so thoroughly

What new game is afoot

I feel your arms about me when I am hurt

I turn and you not there

The warmth of your body still there

I see you when I close my eyes

Taunting me once more

Are you real or only a dream

No I know your real I feel it in my soul

I know your out there somewhere

What is keeping us apart

What lesson is left to learn

Once or twice I thought I had found you

Impostors all not one original

Where are you tonight my love
