The Man From The Sea

The Man From The Sea

A Poem by Amethyst Rose

He stole her heart quite innocently the man from the sea

With play and laughter like no other

The games they played in the wrecks and reef were all fantasy

No holding back imaginations going wild

Frolic and play no heed for the danger

Both willing to take the risks

Wonder, surprise, adventure he brings such joy

Only he has been to such places or seen what he has seen

Come play with me in the sea he beckons

Hours feel like moments in time

The wheel turns and fate drops by ready to create a stir

An oracle warning sent from afar

The moon with all its shadows and illusions

Nothing is what it seems she warns

The sun will rise to burn away the mists

Wolf, fox, genuine no matter time will tell the latter

Mysterious and guarded is he except in fantasy an enigma to unravel

She has time there is no other

The treasure he has found but to open he needs the key

To find the key he must search his soul there he will find the answers

The journey will be long fraught with danger a feat not many achieve

The mermaid waits for him to fathom the depth of his soul

The treasure so rare yet few survive the passage

Has he the heart to accomplish

The man from the sea
