Masks

A story of how i think things are in the world

We all have a fantasy life, a dream we know will never come true, a place to escape in our heads during these times of hardship. but, then reality kicks in, and everything goes to crap, for some people. because in reality, everyone wears a mask, even adults. Our mask makes us fit in, but as someone others want us to be. I should know, I’ve seen firsthand, a person pretending. i sit in the back, in the shadows, silent, and observant. when you’re like me, you see a lot, and notice a lot that others wouldn’t. but,it’s not my business, not my problem. we all have secrets, some more intense than others, that’s what the masks are for. to hide the darkest you, or the better you, or even more the real you. i’m glad, being in the back, i don’t have to wear a mask, but i can be me, without my friends criticising. being someone else, would just be like changing my family for another. pretending to be someone else you’re not, can change you, for the worst, and pushes your real friends away. then you have the fake friends. you know, i read somewhere, “FAKE FRIENDS: Never ask for food, REAL FRIENDS: Are the reason you have no food. FAKE FRIENDS: Call your parents Mr/Mrs, REAL FRIENDS: Call you parents Mom/Dad. FAKE FRIENDS: Never seen you cry, REAL FRIENDS: Cry with you. FAKE FRIENDS: Know a few things about you, REAL FRIENDS: Can write a book about you. FAKE FRIENDS: Knock on your front door when they come over, REAL FRIENDS: Just walk right in and say “I’m home.” FAKE FRIENDS: will help you when you fall, REAL FRIENDS: Will just jump on top of you and shout “Sandwich.” FAKE FRIENDS: Are around for a little while, REAL FRIENDS: Are around for life. FAKE FRIENDS: Say “I love you” jokingly, REAL FRIENDS: Say “I love you” and mean it.” And I think, people get criticised because of a certain artist they like, or a certain band, or a certain genre. That’s not right, we all have our own opinions, our own likes and dislikes. So why criticise, or judge, or make fun? Then it hit me, it’s because those people are insecure. They judge others, to make those people feel bad, so they can feel better. What a sick world we live in, people just have  no hearts. UNLIKE THEM AT LEAST WE HAVE HEARTS AND ACTUALLY CARE WHAT HAPPENS TO OUR FRIENDS. And won’t pretend for the rest of our lives to be someone else, ‘cause we’re us, and we’re proud of who we are,....... And no one's ever going to change that, or us.

This is very good and very insightful; both into human nature as well as where you stand. It is good to make a stance and brave to air it. Not everyone will understand it, but that is their problem isn't it? As for the technical. You need to watch your Upper/lower case. 'I' is always capitalized when referring to self. The first letter in a sentence is always capitalized as well. If you have Microsoft Word; set it for spellcheck and trust it. It is at least 95% right... Lol. Wolf_Lord ,'', ^@@^ ,'',
