Hit Her AgainA Poem by AprilRivers12Hit her again because you know she hates it. She trusted you to keep her safe, now look what you’ve done to her. She sleeps in pools of tears cried upon her pillow after she cuts her wrists to make them bleed. Just let her live her life, leave her alone. She’s better off without you at all now. You had seventeen years to make it right with her but seventeen years have come and gone. Maybe she’s blind but she sees no change. Hit her again in the heart this time, with those words of hatred you love so much. Curse them towards the ones she loves. Pull again on her strings when she ventures away from you. You’re the puppeteer God. Is that how you feel, like a God? Ask her what you are to her because she won’t say “God.” She will say “nothing.” © 2013 AprilRivers12Reviews
