F**k It

F**k It

A Poem by AprilRivers12

Dig in deeper inside her mind

and take over a little more.

Isolate her from the world

and tell her she’s a w***e.

Take her shoulders and shake them

when she says she loves her dad.

How dare she turn away from you,

you must tell her that she’s bad.

Take away her laptop,

her iPod, and her phone.

Don’t let her make another friend,

tell her she’s safer all alone.

Squeeze your way into her head again

and make her think your way

when everything she’s ever known

is definitely not okay.

Bury words of hatred

into her wilting memories.

Tell her what she feels is wrong,

take away her childish fantasies.

She cannot love her father,

her new stepmom or her kids.

She couldn’t love herself for that,

you made sure she never did.

This poem is very painful but very beautifully written. It's terrible when a parent plays their child against the other parent, which I'm assuming happened here. Wonderful write and great flow. :)
