Haven't written in so long, guess my spirit decided it was time to share again. I have been on a journey discovering my own spirituality and purpose so to speak, so this mirrors what is in my heart right now.

Wondrous, wild sense of soul, flowing with such a piercing rhythm. Those questions, may they guide you and lead you deeper into you, the depths of your life and purpose. And Jung, I keep his Red Book near at all times. Raising my glass to your journey. Lemonade for now, but maybe something stronger soon.

I will have to check that book out, I haven't ever read it. How about we share something stronger, I sure could use it. Thank you as always and apologies for delayed response. I think this site hates me sometimes.

It is human nature to introspect, and to try to find a purpose for everything (including ourselves)...
I enjoyed how the poem sounds like a bound book of scattered thoughts, woven together beautifully ... The alliterations are also well used!! :))
so relate-able April! the conflict we encounter through traumatic events is surely always between emotion and the mind .. they can tell us very different things at the same time ;} your poem takes me along the journey easily .. as the maddening optimist ... i like the closing ... a bit more calm ... able to use wisdom but still open ended enough to look forward to more "answers" ... and i feel a sense of acceptance of self and even a healthy love for self in your closing ..nice one .. so good to have you writing and posting at the cafe once more ..

The dang typos kill the sass that I was trying to convey 😔
A wonderful twist of words. Life teaches us many things and the more we live. The most questions we shall have. I liked the poem dear April. Made the reader think. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

Always my pleasure to read your work and you re welcome dear friend.
nicely done. creative title and imagery. you elegantly reveal the honest questioning within you. we all reach a point where we question and self-evaluate. perhaps re-'calibrating' (great word). i see a heart & wings so i think you are on the right path. i can relate.
