Impossible to read (and not listen to) and not smile...this is such a delightful little piece April...well actually it's not little, it's a gorgeously-crafted work that is as gentle as a lullaby...it totally fits your style...your two most unmistakable trademarks are alliteration and flow, and they really drive home the sweetness and innocence in this one...actually I would add your knack for rhyme to that list now too, which gets better with every poem...if your heart is not warmed by this piece, you don't have one...dreadfully cute yet astoundingly captivating...another winner my friend :)

Sweet and endearing tribute to a child you have direct guidance over in life. You show your love and devotion to your own kin with playful ease in every stanza without fail as you do say she is the world to you. Hopefully you get to see her often as you are portraying the binnacle aunt here with not only your willingness to share but also play along and get to her level while still being yourself.
Wonderful as always though I am not sure how I missed this one in my flow through your works.
As always, please keep it up.

This made me think of my granddaughter visiting us just a couple weeks ago, and watching Frozen with her as she explained the scenes to me.
Loved it April, the range of things you write about is so impressive.

This is one touching piece and it's so honest too, that last line was strong! I know it's suppoused to be like a silly piece in a way, but I have a younger brother and i guess it toiched me because of that. Great little piece April!

Thank you so much my friend.. I am tickled this one "touched" you... :)
Wow! April this is so sweet, serenely beautiful, the feeling of love between the two of you comes through in wave upon wave, a tsunami of love and joy in each others company, that washes away the readers woes and makes us feel happy inside, a lovely write, (note: must get my sound fixed, gotta hear your sweet southern tones)

The picture cheered me up straight away. Gay and bright and full of happiness to acompany this lovely tribute to the love you have for your niece. It has that soft, gentility to it that describes the way we love the innocence of the child. Most likely because we miss those carefree days.

thank you so much, John... I am tickled you like the picture and the tribute to my niece....
I have little ones so I can relate to this one quite well. There is something wisdom filled in the words of a child maybe because they are not so imbued by sensless amount of judgments that get in the way of perceiving. When reading this then it is very difficult not to succumb to the tender musicality of the words accompanied harmoniously by the rhyme as it serves to accentuate the mood. That's how a playful moment conveyed of give and take of embracing pure gestures of castles princesses and possible dragons comes alive but ultimately a reflection of love between niece and aunt?.
