If I were a Star

glittering, animated fun

incandescent illumination

second only to the sun.

 

If I were a  Flower

fleshy petals dripping confection

infatuation’s aphrodisiac

dulcet, aromatic affection.

 

If I were an  Angel

alluring mankind

bewitching enticement

both sinful and divine.

 

If I were a Dream

tantalizing, magnetic illusion

provocative stimulation

delicious diverting delusion.

 

 

If I were a Thought

refreshing delight

entertain, captivate

stimulate and excite.

Star Flower Angel Dream Thought. These bold headliner words are by themselves a poem, and you poeticize around each one of those words in a creative, and rhythmic way. I like when you liken the dream to/ Magnetic illusion. very cool way to describe the energy we build upon and harness in our deepest sleep.

It's very soothing, beautiful even down to the aesthetics of the format. I feel like each stanza should be on an organic bar of soap at whole foods. It's cleansing to read

If there is anything I see if going from the beginning to the present it is how easily you take simple lines and give them depth and definition with an effortless grace and style I wish I could do a bit more.

Granted, when I get out of my own way I can do it easier, but you seem to be able to do that with an ease I am in awe of completely. You are without a doubt one of the better poets I have the pleasure of knowing because in every piece I can relate, you are open, you are honest and you are to the point in a playful and intelligent way.

OK, you can blush now and call me sweet if you must, but I have my novel to attend to and I am running out of material of yours to read outside of short stories but I also have a backlog of nearly 200 read requests to sift through too.

Ah, the life of a writer is so grand.
